The Cove City Council, located in Oregon, as approved plans from AT&T to upgrade an existing cell tower. AT&T wishes to add more equipment in order to serve 4G customers in the area. According to The Observer, “The proposed upgrade involves replacing three panel antennas on the existing 80-foot transmission tower. The new antennas will be 18 feet to 24 feet longer and be able to handle more data at greater speed.”
This upgrade is also an opportunity for the telecom company to make more revenue from its customer base.
