The Tahlequah Planning Board has passed proposals for two new cell towers to be constructed at different locations, a funeral home and a school bus barn, within the town. If the city council approves the deal, AT&T will begin construction of the towers in order to improve wireless services for customers in the area. According to Tahlequah Daily Press, “The purpose of the additional towers is to accommodate the cellular traffic around the hospitals, and at Tahlequah Public Schools and Northeastern State University. Craig Cromley, area manager of external affairs for AT&T Oklahoma, said Tahlequah can use an enhancement of its cellular coverage.”
If the proposals receive final approval, the landowners must seek proper representation to assist them throughout the lease negotiation process.
