China has brought online over nine times as many 5G cell sites as the United States and has reached wireless network speeds five times as fast as American equivalents. Here’s what the web is saying about this.

The focus by the big 5G service providers in the United States has been on selling 5G services and products versus China’s emphasis on building out the necessary infrastructure that enables the advantages to consumers, businesses, and defense that 5G can provide when fully operational.
China has installed 950,000 5G cell sites compared to America’s 100,000. They’ve produced 50% of the world’s mobile phones and computers while the U.S. produced only 6%. China is said to produce 70 solar panels for each one produced in the U.S. They sell four times the number of electric vehicles and have nine times as many 5G base stations.
At the start of 2021, over 150 million Chinese were using 5G mobile phones with average speeds of 300 megabits a second. In the U.S. over the same time period, only 6 million Americans had access to 5G with speeds five times slower than China.
